It's a beautiful day for dingers in MLB, which is great news for us bettors searching for a juicy payout. Here are my three favorite HR props for Monday night's slate.
Dean Kremer has been a profitable target for home run props all season. The Baltimore Orioles starter has given up the fifth-most homers in MLB this year (22), and he's allowed two or more in four of his last six starts. This Philadelphia Phillies lineup doesn't have much experience against Kremer, so let's roll with a longshot in Bryson Stott. Stott has been the hottest Phillies hitter since the All-Star break with a .333 batting average, a 1.012 OPS, and two homers. He's worth a sprinkle in this lefty-righty matchup.
Quinn Priester made his MLB debut last Monday against the Cleveland Guardians, and he gave up two homers and seven earned runs. I don't see the Pittsburgh Pirates starter faring much better against a hot San Diego Padres lineup. Juan Soto has been on fire with a .300 average, a 1.331 OPS, and three home runs in his last six games, so we'll ride the hot bat in a strong matchup against the rookie.
Mookie Betts surely woke up with an extra pep in his step Monday morning. Why? Because he gets to face Toronto Blue Jays starter Jose Berrios. In 16 career at-bats against Berrios, Betts is hitting .438 with two home runs and only one strikeout. The wind will be blowing straight out to center field at Dodger Stadium, too, creating a projected 14 percent boost to home runs (Ballpark Pal). This has all the makings of a Betts bomb.
