San Antonio Spurs superstar Victor Wembanyama is unlike any rookie we’ve seen in the past. Apart from being a generational talent, the 20-year-old also conducts himself in a different manner compared to other players his age.
A case in point is the way Wemby decided to spend his first-ever NBA paycheck. While other youngsters might get a kick out of splurging on a new car, jewelry, or perhaps even a new home, Wembanyama decided to use his hard-earned money to buy a Lego set.
Apparently, the Spurs big man is a fan of Lego. He’s an even more avid enthusiast of Star Wars. A testament to this fact is how Wemby decided to spend $850 to purchase a Millenium Falcon Lego set from his first-ever NBA payday:

The self-proclaimed nerds are going to get a kick out of this. I, however, cannot help but imagine how challenging it will be for Wembanyama to put the smallest Lego pieces together with his gigantic hands. I’m pretty sure he’ll manage, though.
This decision speaks volumes about the type of dude Wemby is. While others would prefer to spend their money partying with friends, the Spurs stud would much rather stay at home and spend endless hours forming a Lego set. That is, of course, when he’s not on the court working on his game.
Wemby lives and breathes basketball — and apparently, Lego too.
